My Only Dream

Where do dreams GO, when they close to an end
In the wastebasket crumpled up, MY forgotten friend

My only LOVE, far away from me
Separated my dreams, all ACROSS the sea

Your first day here, our EYES just met
How you CARED for me, I was your favorite pet

Where do dreams GO, when one part goes astray
It turns into nightmares, slowly FADING away

First came mood-swings and fights, blasted rebelling age
In the eyes of an innocent, more than fiery pits of rage

Next came abandoned books, failing intellect
Tried to CARE for you, this time- no affect

In no time I see, glassy drugged-up sway
Eyes pleaded you "stop", pushed me away

Where do dreams GO, when they close to an end
In the wastebasket crumpled up, MY forgotten friend

Our love split in two, I, just a dream
Yours a nightmare, bottomless screams

Where do dreams go, when you can't find its other half
Buried in the wastebasket, on your OTHER HALF.

Where is the SPIRIT, when it’s not joined together
In limbo land, FOR we cannot be forever

Ever since YOU left, my world has been upside down
Your nightmares infected me, LEFT me unfound

Out in the bleak DUSK, helplessly groping about
Tears dripping from, my HEART full of doubt

Where is the SPIRIT, when one part breaks off
Turns us CRAZY, like a resounding cough

Foremost after, increasing rage
Destroy me inside, in a cage

Following is terror, demons stalk
Keep on LOOKING back, unable to talk

Lastly I see myself, repeating
Thrashing around, spirit fleeting

Where is the SPIRIT, when it’s not joined together
In limbo land, for we cannot be FOREVER

Was it really that long ago, that you foreseen
Ignoring me was the best, to be mean

Where is the spirit, when it’s long past dead
Buried in memories, of us, silently IN DREAD.
